Central Oregon is home to over 100 lakes and more than a dozen nationally renowned streams, including the famous fly fishing waters of the Deschutes, Metolius and Crooked Rivers. All of the lakes, as well as the Crane Prairie and Wickiup Reservoirs, are stocked with rainbow and brown trout. Anglers over the age of 14 must have an Oregon license, which are available wherever bait and tackle are sold. Steelhead fishing is available on the lower Deschutes, which is about a one-hour drive north of the resort. If you prefer to set out with a guide, who will know where the fish are biting, our partners at Fly Fisher’s Place are the most knowledgeable guides in the area.
