Golfing at Eagle Crest – Attractive Junior Rates
With two championship golf courses and our par-63 Challenge Course, links lovers are never far from their favorite pastime. And families are well taken care of. Each course features four sets of tees, and we’re home to the most appealing junior (under 18) rates among all Central Oregon golf courses. Before 3p daily, juniors accompanied by an adult play for 50% and after 3p they play for FREE. Unaccompanied juniors after 3p play for just $10 on the Ridge and Resort Courses, and $5 on the Challenge. Juniors may ride in a cart, with an adult, anytime for 50% off the per seat fee.
Putting Course at Eagle Crest Resort
A favorite for families, the 18-hole Putting Course features water hazards, sand traps and sneaky breaks that challenge even the most seasoned of putting pros. Located adjacent to The Ridge Pro Shop.
Biking in Eagle Crest Resort
Explore over 11 miles of paved paths throughout the resort or the many popular trails found throughout the region. Professional guides are available to take you along single-track routes suitable for all abilities, and bike rentals are available at our sports centers.
Hiking in Eagle Crest Resort
Guests at Eagle Crest Resort have access to over 11 miles of walking trails. Our most popular in-resort hike is the 1.5 mile trail along the Deschutes River. Along the way you’ll find interpretive signage noting the spectacular flora and fauna.
Hiking in Central Oregon
Central Oregon is the home to hundreds of miles of incredible hiking. Smith Rock State Park is a beautiful place to hike along the Crooked Rivers and watch rock climbers perched on its world famous walls. Another popular hike outside of Bend, Oregon is Tumalo Falls, featuring a 97 ft. waterfall just a quarter mile from the parking area.
Splash Park at Eagle Crest Resort
Kids of all ages love the Splash Park at the Lakeside Sports Center. It is a great way to beat the heat on a summer afternoon.
IKIUTAN STABLES AT EAGLE CREST RESORT
No matter your ability level, Ikiutan Stables at Eagle Crest Resort provides everything from rides for our youngest guests, multi-hour trail rides for the more advanced, and plenty of experiences in between. We also love to have guests just come by the stables, up on The Ridge, to say hello and meet the horses (they love carrots and apples.) At Ikiutan (meaning Wild Stallion in native Wasco) Stables you’ll find head wrangler Chris Buller, his team of experienced wranglers, and plenty of beautiful horses waiting to take you and your family on an authentic horseback ride. When you arrive, you’ll be taught about the horses, and how to befriend, care for and saddle up your new friend. When you are ready, you’ll head out on the trails. But don’t expect the ordinary “tail-to-nose” riding experience that is offered at most Central Oregon resorts. Here, the wranglers and horses are happy to lope and gallop. Personalized instruction is also available. Reservations are strongly encouraged.
The Cascade Vista Trail
Enjoy an hour long ride out into the Central Oregon highlands. With on and off
time, the full experience is about an hour and a half, and suitable for all
abilities. Wait until you see the views!!

The Big Desert Loop
Prepare to be impressed on this two hour experience with about an hour and forty-five
minutes in the saddle. The trail follows a historic military road that used
to lead to Tetherow Crossing across the Deschutes River.

Small Horse Rides for the Young Ones
About ten minutes in length and always one of the greatest photo opportunities
of the Eagle Crest experience. The Ikiutan wranglers lead the small horses and children
through the stables and all guests are welcome to pet the horses and often bring
carrots and apples for their new friends.
$15 year-round.
Custom Rides
Inquire about custom rides throughout Central Oregon and some very unique locations.
Starting price is $150 per rider.
All methods of payments and credit cards are accepted.
Riders are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes in advance of their riding time.
Reservations are highly encouraged.

The High Desert Museum
Conceived in 1974, the Museum remains true to the guiding principle that education and experience are the basis for thoughtful decisions and stewardship. The 53,000-square-foot main building houses exhibits about Native Americans and the history of the West, and anchors a quarter-mile trail that winds along a tranquil stream and through aspens and ponderosa pines. Guests may walk this trail to reach another 32,000 square feet of exhibits and animal habitats. Join a naturalist guide and learn about the High Desert's unique plants and their roles in the ecosystem. Meet a live badger, porcupine, reptile and raptor as you learn about their natural habitats and behaviors. Enter the year 1904 and join the Miller family in tending the garden, cross-cut sawing, and working at the mill. Watch as hawks, owls and other raptors soar overhead in a forested setting as you connect to the natural world of the High Desert. Meet a river otter at the pond habitat and discover these animals' role in the environment. This is just the beginning at the High Desert Museum, where this unique ecosystem becomes up close and personal.
The Museum is located 30 miles from Eagle Crest Resort on the south side of Bend, Oregon. Most guests spend on average 3 to 4 hours at the Museum, and combine the experience with a stroll through Bend or kayaking along the Deschutes, which just happens to meander right through the Old Mill, a beautiful shopping destination.

Wanderlust Tours
Wanderlust Tours offers guided, outdoor tours and activities in Bend, Sunriver and Sisters, Oregon, that take you off the beaten path, away from crowds, to seek out the quiet of the Central Oregon Cascade lakes, rivers, forests and caves. Year-round tours and half-day trip options include cave tours and GPS Eco-Challenge trips. The summer months bring canoeing, kayaking, and volcano sightseeing. In winter everyone loves the falling show and Wanderlust’s guided snowshoe tours. All tours include guide, transportation and all equipment. Wanderlust Tours is located in Bend, and in most cases can pick up guests at Eagle Crest.

White Water Rafting
The Deschutes River offers some of the best whitewater rafting in the Northwest. In the summer months take an exciting guided tour down the class III and IV rapids, where the beautiful scenery engulfs you and the cool water refreshes you. The half-day Big Eddy trip, which begins just 20 miles from Eagle Crest, give you a great taste of pure white water rafting.
