The theme is an old fashion indoor atmosphere, with sections of the show with dimmed lighting to set the buying mood of the variety of arts, crafts, antiques and live entertainment. All booths will be required to be decorated with a holiday theme with at least 6’ side walls separating your booth from your neighbors. There will be a candy land maze leading to Santa, three resting stations with flat screen televisions playing classic holiday movies and a festive entrance lined with Christmas trees, garland, Chanukah and Kwanzaa displays. Free parking for Customers and Exhibitors.The entrance fee is $4.00 with a canned food donation for a local charity. Customers will receive a souvenir Holiday Card valued at the price of admission.

The 16th Annual Holiday Food & Gift Festival returns to Redmond November 20-22nd at the Deschutes County Fair & Expo Center. This festival is one of the largest holiday celebrations in the Northwest drawing 7-8,000 attendees annually who happily complete their holiday shopping early. With over 120 exhibitors the festival will provide shoppers with one-of-a-kind gifts that cannot be found anywhere else. Featuring art, crafts, jewelry, clothing, wood, music, photography, toys, Christmas décor, and much more makes this a gift buyer’s delight. There is a large gourmet food area where you can sample and purchase a wide range of food items including tea, chocolates, pasta, soups, dips, meats, coffee, jams, shortbread, chili, sauces and many more delights!

Central Oregon Showcase Chorus presents Joyful Winter Sounds, Saturday, November 21, at the Community Presbyterian Church, 529 NW 19th Street in Redmond, beginning at 7:00 p.m. The program will include a mix of holiday songs and contemporary favorites. Special guest will be Skyliner Jazz, an a capella group from Summit High School. Tickets are $10 each, and are available in advance and at the door. Central Oregon Showcase Chorus is an educational and performing barbershop chorus, chartered by Sweet Adelines International. Founded in the 1970’s, membership consists of women from Prineville, Redmond, Powell Butte, Bend and the surrounding area. Santa’s Mailbox, a connection to the North Pole for children wishing to pass along their wish lists to jolly old St. Nick, will be placed outside of Green Plow Coffee Roasters (436 SW 6th St.) in downtown Redmond near the base of Redmond’s archway. Letters will be accepted from Friday, Nov. 27 through Christmas Eve. The Redmond Chamber of Commerce, which hosts the Santa’s Mailbox program, will collect the letters, some of which may be published in the Redmond Spokesman. All letters will be posted on the Redmond Chamber’s Facebook site.

Beginning on Monday, Nov. 27, those wishing to help make Christmas a little brighter for Redmond-area children and teens can pick a tag (or multiple tags) from the Giving Tree, located at Green Plow Coffee Roasters (436 SW 6th St.) in downtown Redmond. A Redmond Chamber of Commerce tradition, the Giving Tree serves to assist approximately 150 children and 75 families by providing a conduit through which the citizens and neighbors can help provide gifts, clothing, shoes, etc., to those less fortunate. Gifts for the Giving Tree are due by Monday, Dec. 14.

Held on four days, Friday-Saturday, Nov. 27-28, Saturday, Dec. 5 and Saturday, Dec. 12. The Holiday Village Market features vendors selling from old-world-styled kiosks as well as 10-by-10-foot vendor spaces in Redmond’s Centennial Park. The event is held from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day within an environment that’s reminiscent of a holiday scene from yesteryear.
