The largest and most prestigious hunter-jumper competition in the Pacific Northwest.
A Thrilling Spectator Sport
If you like speed, excitement and beauty, you will enjoy watching powerful and graceful horses ridden by equestrians making their way around a variety of courses featuring jumps ranging from two to five feet in height. The competition is held at the J Bar J Boys Ranch on 40 acres east of Bend in the beautiful Central Oregon high desert at the base of the Cascade Mountains. Spectators can view the action from the grandstand bleachers or in chairs at each ring. The ideal place to view each Saturday Grand Prix event is from under the Patrons Pavilion at ringside featuring an elegant dinner. Seating for individuals and groups, up to eight people, are available for purchase.
The OHDC is open and free to the public Wednesday-Sunday starting at 8 a.m. Grand Prix events will be held each Saturday starting at 4:30 p.m. and are open to the public with no entrance fee with donations accepted. Tickets to the Grand Prix’s Patrons Pavilion catered dinner must be purchased in advance.
Come enjoy Starfest, a mile long animated holiday light exhibit adjacent to the Lodge. Walk, drive or schedule a Horse-Drawn Wagon Ride to marvel at the spectacular display. Times and more details to follow.
Tour Starfest on foot or from the comfort of your own car. Canned food donations for Redmond’s food banks are welcome. Please drop off your donation at the red sleigh located by the reader board on the corner of Falcon Crest Drive and Mountain Quail.
