Moonlight canoe tour

Experience canoeing by the light of the moon for the nights surrounding each full moon and by the light from the blanket of stars during our starlight paddle in the summer and fall. Open your senses to the sights and sounds nighttime has to offer while paddling one of the beautiful Cascade Lakes. The celestial light reflects off of the shimmering water to provide a spiritual experience high in the mountains!  Dessert and hot drinks served on the lake shore top off this spectacular evening.

This tour makes a great gift, call Wanderlust Tours to purchase gift certificates!

July: 10-14
August: 8-13
September: 5-9

Pickleball Drop-ins & Clinics @ Ridge Sports Center - Gym
Dec 2 all-day

We offer various drop-ins and clinics including beginning and women-only sessions. Please check our current hours and event schedule for the latest drop-in dates and times.

Paddles are available and non-marking shoes are required. The sport is played on a court with the same dimensions as a doubles badminton court. The net is two inches lower than tennis, and played with a hard paddle and a polymer, which is a smaller version of a wiffle ball. With a smaller court and slower ball speed, pickleball is much easier to play than tennis.

A little pickleball trivia: the game started during the summer of 1965 on Bainbridge Island, Washington at the home of Congressman Joel Pritchard. He and two of his friends returned from golf and found their families bored one Saturday afternoon. They attempted to set up badminton but no one could find the shuttlecock. They improvised with a wiffle ball, lowered the badminton net, and fabricated paddles of plywood from a nearby shed. The name is said to have originated by Joan Pritchard, who said it reminded her of the “Pickle Boat crew where oarsmen were chosen from the leftovers of other boats.”
