Thu - 9/2 2010 WebCyclery Thrilla Cyclocross Series
5:00pm-7:30pm. The 7th Annual WebCyclery Thrilla Cyclocross Series will be held in the NorthWest Crossing Neighborhood on the north side of Summit High School in Bend, Oregon. The Thursday night race series will be held on September 2nd, 9th, 16th and 30th. The new venue in NorthWest Crossing will provide a longer course with more variety and to accommodate what we expect to be bigger fields this year. The new course will also give a preview of the terrain that will be used for the new time trial cross course that will be used at Cross Nationals this year to decide the call up order for each race. Mountain bikes are welcome and helmets for all racers are required. Cost is $12 per race, or racers can register for all 4 races prior to the start of the first race, the full series cost is $40. Riders can register in advance at WebCyclery, 550 SW Industrial Way, Ste. 150 in Bend after August 19th . Riders can also register the night of each race (at the course in NW Crossing) between 5:00 – 5:45PM. Races will begin at 6:00PM. This is an OBRA event and an OBRA membership is required for the race. Cyclocross only membership is $10 for the season or a one day membership can be purchased at registration for $5. The new venue is a very spectator friendly and a great event for juniors and beginners. The new course consists of dirt roads, gravel trails, tree-lined singletrack, a big run-up or two, barriers, a few blocks worth of pavement, and a steep descent and climb back up on a dirt road. Little Woody Festival: Barrels, Beers and Bourbons have a Rendezvous in Bend, Oregon Time: 5:00pm. Second annual Bend, Oregon beer event features fine barrel-aged brews. The finest in bourbon and barrel-aged beers from some of the Northwest’s most popular breweries will be featured at the two-day Little Woody Festival in beautiful Bend, Oregon. 5:00pm-9:00pm. On the First Friday of each month, the Bend Gallery Association hosts "Art Walk." All of the member galleries are open to the public until 9:00 pm. Many galleries have specialized exhibits or artists' receptions planned to coincide with the First Friday Art Walk. Shops are matched with artists and stay open late. Up to 16,000 rubber duckies are launched from the Galveston Bridge and collected at Mirror Pond at Drake Park, Bend, to find a winner. Bend Fall Festival
The Bend Fall Festival has been moved ahead two weeks into September to enjoy warmer weather! A Bend tradition as the locals’ favorite among outdoor festivals, it's a celebration of the end of summer season and the beginning of harvest and autumn.
